Put Me In Coach...

...I'm ready to play!! It was opening day at the Rec center this Saturday. Alyson's team did wonderful. Abby's team, we'll just say that most of the players are 3 and 4 years old. Abby was supposed to play pitcher and she would not put the chest protector on. You can't play that position without it. She was crying so hard and fighting us and would not put it on. So, she had to play in the outfield. Once we got home, she did put it on and did not want to take it off. She's used to it now and plans on being pitcher next game.

On Sat. afternoon we were at home practicing ball with the girls and BAM Alyson got hit in the eye. It looks really bad-it's swollen and black and blue. Poor girl. She didn't want to go to school this morning. As I was pulling away from the school I could see her wiping her tears. Through my tears, I called and talked to her teacher and she said that she was doing fine then. I'll post a picture of it soon.
It's been an emotional morning, weekend and past week. Hopefully this week will be better.

Little Orphan Abby

Take a look at my girls playing dress-up. Is this not hilarious? Abby came through the kitchen first while I was cooking dinner last night then came Alyson. See, now this is why I still pick out their clothes for them!If you can't tell what is what on Abby, she has on a ballerina one-piece, a skirt, black boots, a heavy winter coat, purple gloves & a purple hat.

Alyson's attire includes a ballerina one-piece, a skirt, a blanket worn as a skirt and mis-matched high heels.

Happy Easter!!

Saturday

Sunday We had a great Easter this year. Saturday, we had the kids' friends over for an Easter party. They were all so cute and I know my kids had fun. They made their own baskets out of milk jugs. I got the idea out of Family Fun magazine. They all turned out great. Sunday was more low-key. After the kids went on a scavenger hunt for their easter baskets, we dressed the kids up and then let the girls dye eggs then hunted them. I absolutely love dyed eggs for Easter. I know the plastic ones are much easier but I want to dye eggs with my kids every year. I had to improvise on their outfits because it was so stinkin' cold. They still looked cute though-if I do say so myself.

Pre-Easter Pics

Ahhhh, spring break week. It's been a grand one. Can't you just hear my sarcasm in that? Ball practice is in full swing (3 days a week) and the girls are on seperate teams this year. Alyson had to move up to coach pitch and Abby's still doing T-ball. Needless to say, we're at the ball park quite a bit. But, I think it's really good for them to do these things and be a part of a team. Tuesday night as a little treat we took the kiddos to Chuck E Cheeses, one of their fave places. We all had a good time. I love playing skee-ball!! Other than that, we've pretty much been hanging around the house.

I dressed the kids up this morning & took pictures in their Easter outfits. Not the best quality, but hey, I tried! Alyson's notorious with "the sun's in my eyes" cry. Bryson's LEARNING to smile. It was funny, as I was handing their outfits out, Abby says, "Oh Gosh, did this come in the mail?". I guess you could say I'm just a tad addicted to Ebay. I'll have to brag though, I got the girls matching Gymboree outfits & Bryson's is Kelly Kid's. I can't remember exactly how much I paid for all three, but I know it was a good deal.
I can't remember if I posted this before or not. Bryson's "artwork" on the front door-with permanent black marker. Lovely!!
Just to let you know, I'm addicted to Vistaprint also. I've already ordered the kids' birthday invitations-yes, that's right-they're not until Sept., Oct., & Nov. Here's a random pic of Bryson after eating his spaghetti.

You Say It's Your Birthday...

...Happy Birthday To Me.

Here are a few pictures of my great birthday weekend. Yes, I celebrated all weekend long. Saturday night a few of my girlfriends & I went out to eat at Tokyo, a Japanese place. Sunday, my mom & I had a shopping day and then the whole family went to Red Lobster for dinner. Monday, my actual birthday, was back to a normal day. I can't beleive this is my last 20-something birthday!! I've got a year to prepare myself for turning the big 3-0.
One of my great gifts-A platter painted with our family on it.
Another one of my cute, cute presents-an apron in my fave colors-pink & brown.

Our Weekend

We had a wonderful time over this past weekend. It was gorgeous outside and we took advantage of it. Before I get to those pictures, here are some pictures of things the girls and I made out of "wikki stix". I've never heard of these toys until the girls got them in their kid's meal at Zaxby's. Let me just tell you, they kept them busy for hours over the weekend. They are little waxy sticks that you can bend and shape into things and you just pinch them together to make them stay that way. Then they come apart so you can make something new. I highly recomend them. I'm sure Toys R Us has them and I plan on picking them up some. Bryson enjoyed it as well.
We took the kids to feed the ducks on Sunday afternoon. Bryson, once again, was restricted to his stoller because he just does NOT listen to us and wants to run around like a wild child. Which was not a good thing with being so close to water. I'm sure he would've jumped right in. We did let him out a couple of times just to see how he would do, but nope, back in the stroller he went. He'll realize.....hopefully!!

Master Bedroom

Here are some pictures of our new master bedroom. I am absolutely in love with it. We've turned the dining room into the master. There's still tons to be done like building our bathroom and closet. That's on hold for now.

Here are my french doors. The outside part is done but not the inside yet. That's why they kind of look "fuzzy" in the picture.
