The New Me

I went and got a haircut yesterday. The shortest I've ever had my hair. I can't beleive I actually did it, but I've been wanting to try this style for some time now. And what better time to try a new cut than the week of one of my best friend's wedding??? I know I'm crazy!! I'm pleased with it. Close Up...

In other news, we have turned Bryson's crib into a big boy bed. Fingers crossed, he's been doing terrific with it. Just look at my handsome little boy. Aren't they always so precious when they're sleeping? In case you're wondering, he does sleep with a pink baby and an elmo. Greg says the pink baby has to go. One of the girls gave it to him to sleep with one night and he hasn't let it go since. These pics were taken last night-just a really good flash I guess.

Fun Times!!

We had so much fun this weekend. My fun started on Thursday night. Amanda Cooper's bridal party met for dinner at Carraba's. It was delicious-as always. There are no pictures from that because the Matron of Honor (Amanda Spray) showed up after she had a procedure done at the hospital that day. Let's just say she wasn't in her normal state of mind. Now that I think about it, pictures would have been hilarious. Friday night a few of us went out to Top O' The River-again, yummy as well. We made a waiter stay outside with us for like 30 minutes taking our picture. You know it had to be just right. I really hope he didn't get fired or in trouble. His boss actually came outside to get, I mean rescue him. The perfect picture:

Both girls had games on Saturday. Abby lost hers, but I tell you I was so proud of her I almost cried. A big girl was up to bat on the opposite team. She hit it hard and Abby grabbed that ball up, ran her down and got her out!! I'm telling you I was so proud of my little Abby! They may not have won but those little girls played so good. Alyson did good as well. We've really been working with her on hitting the ball -she's in coach pitch now. So, just her hitting the ball is something to get excited about. She did hit it, and did get to base-yeah! Oh, and they did win that game. Saturday night Amanda Spray had a shower for Amanda Cooper at her brand new house. Very exciting!! She decided to have a gift card party for her. Everyone just brought her a $10 gift card of their choice for her. I thought it was a pretty original idea. We all had a blast. I saw this tiara and sash at Target and had to get it for her. Being the sport that she is, she wore it almost throughout the entire party. Only 5 days until the big day. I'm very excited and can't wait. I will post pics as soon as I get them.

Sunday, the girls were invited to a b-day party at a place we've never been. It's called .....o.k. the name just totally slipped my mind as I'm typing. Anyway, they have all kinds of inflatables inside this place. The kids (and adults) had a ball. I think we'll go there this summer and let the kids play some.

Best Mom EVER!!

I don't know about you guys, but my mom would have never let me do what I did for Abby yesterday. Abby would not shut-up about throwing a birthday party for 2 of her favorite toys-Love Bug and Monkey (original, huh?) The monkey really isn't even hers, it's Bryson's. Anywho, she would talk about this party and I thought eventually she would let it go. Oh no, let it go she would not. Yesterday, I gave in and let her bake a pack of chocolate muffin mix, let her put icing and sprinkles on it and top it off with candles. 2 for Love Bug and 3 for Monkey. I told her that we would continue the party after she and Alyson came home from school. It just so happened that yesterday afternoon I was picking up one of my best friend's (Kym) daughter from school and another one of my best friends (Amanda Spray) and her kiddos stopped for a visit so we had a few guests over for the bash. We all sang "Happy Birthday" to the toys and ate some muffin. It was a grand ole' time.

Close Call-Love Bug was almost set on fire because Abby slipped while blowing out the candles. :0

My Big Boy

Here are a few pictures I took of Bryson last week. The utilities or phone company were doing some kind of work outside of our house for several days. This kept Bryson quite busy. He loved watching them work. He'd just lift up the blinds in our bedroom, get under them and watch for a while.

He's also really gotten into playing with his cars and trucks.

Busy Weekend

I'm tired just thinking about how busy this weekend was. I hate to say it, but fortunately Fri. and Sat. games were cancelled thanks to all of the rain. :) That didn't keep us from loading up our schedule otherwise. Fri. night Greg and my brother moved my mom into another house (she's getting a divorce, if you haven't heard). I took her to the ER thinking she was having a heart attack-false alarm-just stressed. I collapse into the bed around 11:00. Sat was one of my best friends bridal showers so I got busy filling 90 fillo shells with my yummolicious chicken salad. Well, it all of sudden hit me that Oh My Goodness, I forgot to order the corsages for the shower!!!! Yes, me, I forgot something! So, I fly to Wal-Mart and get all the supplies that I think I'm gonna need. Now mind you, I've never made a corsage before, so I'm just going out on a limb here. And what perfect timing to TRY to make one, oh about 3 hours before the shower! Anyway, I thought they turned out just fine. Amanda is using daisies in her wedding and I think it's just precious. Here are pics of the corsages, cake(so cute & yummy) and the bride & I.

Now on to Sunday. We had to wake up and go straight to the grocery store. We were out of EVERYTHING. We did get to come home and take a quick nap after getting everything organized. The girls then had ball pictures to take which I did not buy. They just are so expensive. Then we went to my mom's to grill out steaks. Yum, Yum. Shewwww that was a long one huh?
