Another School Year Gone...Hello To Another Summer

The girls had an awesome school year. Alyson just finished 2nd grade and Abby graduated from Kindergarten. I can't even believe it. And, I have come to realize it's not the start of the school year when I cry it's the end. Oh my goodness, I cried on the last day. I'm so proud of my girls and all they have accomplished this year. They both work very hard to make good grades and I hope it continues. Here are a couple of pics from their last day:

Alyson & 2 of her friends:

Now, on to the start of summer. Of course, you gotta' get the pool out, redneck as it may be!! :) All that matters is that the kids enjoyed it. And I've got Kool-Aid in the fridge, Freeze Pops in the freezer and Spaghettio's in the cabinet, doesn't that sound like summer to you?

Oh, and what would the start of summer be without one specific sister hitting her brother with a bat?
(Seriously, not on purpose.)

The kids played putt-putt for the first time on Sat. They really liked it.

I've almost got our weeks planned out with free activities for the summer. Just a few things on the agenda: story time, free movies, free bowling, etc. Should be fun, and free is my favorite!!

Eagles '09 (Abby)

Abby's teacher came to watch her game on Fri. night & snapped these awesome pictures of her. I just love them and she really caught Abby's determined game-face she always has. Love them, thanks Sara. :)

In Our Backyard...

A pretty wild rosebush, thank goodness it doesn't need me to do anything to it or for it, or it would die...I most certainly do NOT have a greenthumb.

The kids swinging from a limb, guess who's idea that was.

Mother's Day 2009

I had a great day spending time with my most favorite people in the world:

My gifts (well, other than my most precious gifts, my kids):

My 1st pair of yellow-box flip flops-love these, they are so comfy.

The new Kate Gosselin book:

We took Mama over to Top O' The River to eat an early dinner and, of course, it was yummy as always. Gotta' love that Riverboat Special. Mama got me a cover-up thing for when I get out of the shower (I'm waiting on comments, you know who you are).

My brother gave me $20. Isn't he just the sweetest? I love my brother, even when he's not giving me money!!

What a great day, I am truly blessed!

Bryson's Big Boy Room

I know it's taken me a while to post this, but here it is finally!! I absolutely love his new big boy room. And I especially love the fact that it was based on this $11 dinosaur comforter set that I found on clearance at Wal-Mart. Go Me!!

As you can see, he loves it too.

I painted this picture: DINO-MITE

His dresser:

His hamper that goes with his bedding that I got for $1.50 (I know).:

I just re-painted these letters he already had to match the new bedding. Yes, the "S" is broke. And you can see his curtain which we made out of a flat sheet:

Hope you like it, we sure do.
