Great Camp-Out (Spring Break '10)

We went camping over the weekend. Overall it was really fun. We had some great company with us-2 great couples & 10 kids between all of us. The kids LOVE camping. Now I do like the camping experience, it's just that when the sun goes down & it's time to go to sleep, I like to have a bed, I NEED to have a bed, oh & a heater when it's like 50 something degrees outside!! Wimpy, yes, but I just can't help it. And, anybody that knows me, knows I'm not good when I don't get my sleep. I even slept in the back of the van hoping it would be warmer, but no. O.k., enough complaining, like I said, overall we had a great time and hopefully gave our kids some great memories!! We stayed at Honeycomb Campground in Guntersville. It's not far from here at all. It's really nice now, they have totally re-done it & it's great. We're definitely gonna go back when it gets hot & try camping again and by then we'll be able to go swimming too.

I think our Spring Break has been pretty fun, and I'm ready for a "break" myself, thank goodness the girls go back to school tomorrow (is that bad?). I know I'll miss them. :)

Top O' The Mornin'

Our St. Patrick's Day was pretty fun. We started off this morning with green eggs & cinnamon rolls with green icing. The kids loved it!! We all got decked out in our green & headed to the parade in Huntsville. Here are a few pics:

Baseball & Reading

We are gearing up for a new baseball season around here. The girls are on the same team again & this is Bryson's 1st year to play. He had his first practice last night. He insisted he wear his helmet in the van all the way there. Practice was pretty funny. I think most of the boys were mistaking t-ball for football. They all loved going after the ball & piling on top of each other. It was pretty funny. Bryson got hit right on top of the head & didn't even flinch, he just stood there. Oh, this is gonna provide many laughs I'm sure.

The 1st grade classes have been doing a reading challenge for several weeks. The wrap-up party was today, an ice cream party wrap-up. I'm so proud of my little reader.

I have been busy celebrating my birthday month with lunches, dinners, cards in the mail, cakes, gifts & love & it's been just wonderful! I'm truly blessed. We're heading to Nashville this weekend for some family fun & shopping. :)
